Volunteer Coordinator (West Midlands) – 12 Month fixed-term contract

Job Introduction

We are currently exploring ways to expand our volunteer offer in the East of England, including developing community outreach and partnership working with businesses, organisations and within diverse communities.

As a Volunteer Co-ordinator you will recruit, train and support both individual volunteers and groups to raise awareness of diabetes. Working closely with the Senior Volunteer Development Lead and colleagues in the Midlands & East Volunteering team, you will play a vital role in mobilising volunteers to make a difference to the lives of people living with diabetes in the East of England.

Role Responsibility

As a Volunteer Co-ordinator in the East of England, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the relationship with our volunteers across the region.  This role ensures that volunteers have the skills, resources, and confidence to make change happen in their communities.  The Volunteer Co-ordinator provides support and guidance to enable volunteers to contribute in flexible and meaningful ways whilst helping the Charity to deliver its five-year strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

As a Volunteer Co-ordinator you will manage, support, and develop a diverse team of individual volunteers and a network of Local, Peer and Community groups both in person and on-line. You will use your ability to engage and motivate others to ensure that volunteers are actively contributing to our outcome drivers across a defined region.

You will contribute to the development and delivery of regional volunteering plans and you will use your passion for volunteering to ensure that volunteers have a positive experience with the Charity and that the relationship is mutually beneficial.
