Role Responsibility

The UX Consultancy Lead role will be highly varied, but with the main objective of successfully building out a profitable UX Consultancy agency through winning and delivering against UX consultancy contracts for external clients. Leveraging the network of the wider organisation, furthering relationships with our existing clients and exploiting their own commercial relationships, the UX Consultancy Lead will seek to build a credible portfolio of advisory work and presence in the industry that will allow Diabetes UK to establish a UX consultancy brand that can operate independently of its parent. In addition to this core responsibility, it is also expected that the UX Consultancy Lead will be actively involved in enhancing the UX maturity of the overall organisation, helping to revolutionise the approach of internal teams, and to progress the capabilities of the existing Participant Recruitment and UX Lab offerings. The role will require strategic thinking and innovation to seek out and exploit opportunities for long term growth. Likewise, it will involve management responsibilities, including initially the direct report of the UX Lab Supervisor and the intention for further headcount growth as the business succeeds. Whilst prioritizing external client work. We expect the UX Consultancy Lead role to offer a unique opportunity to combine the independence to build a new and open-ended business with the powerful support of one of the UK’s largest charities.
