Job Introduction

We deliver a critical Type 1 service. We provide events and holidays which offer a unique experience, that gives children, young people and families affected by Type 1 diabetes, time and space to gain confidence, share experiences and realise that they’re not alone. We don’t want people to be defined or limited by their diabetes.

We help people not only to manage and control their diabetes but to have fun and live a happy life, just like anyone else. These events are life changing.

This role can be based in London or any of our regional/national offices.  Salary will be dependent on location.

London salary - £24,973 - £27,748

Regional/National salary - £21,973 - £24,748

Role Responsibility

The Type 1 Project Lead will work closely and support the Type 1 Service Team to offer a portfolio of high quality and impactful events across the UK. They will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a number of designated events. They will ensure that the plans and resources required for the event are in place and they will focus on the building of warm and effective relationships with volunteers. Without Volunteers it would not be possible to offer this critical service.

The Ideal Candidate

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
• Highly organised and efficient with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Solution focussed. self-motivated and adaptable
• Fully competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Be available for occasional out of hours and weekend working (5-10 weekends per year)
