Job Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward Diabetes UK’s strategy to improve outcomes for those living with and at risk of diabetes. As part of a Strategy and Planning team at the heart of an ambitious charity, you will programme manage for one of our ambitious Breakthrough Programmes, which seek to transform outcomes in key areas, to ensure that aspirations become reality.

Role Responsibility
The Programme Manager will work with senior leaders and colleagues across the charity to develop, plan and coordinate a programme of work to drive strategic change for people with and at risk of diabetes. We are particularly looking for a Programme Manager to support our ambitions to reach and support more people who are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, particularly those who experience inequality and disadvantage.
The Programme Manager will contribute to continuous improvement in how Diabetes UK delivers its strategy through effective planning, with responsibility for designing and implementing efficient processes and supporting colleagues.
You will work with colleagues at all levels to ensure ambitious plans are translated into realistic plans, and that we deliver on these plans to achieve impact. You will support a learning focussed approach to facilitating and tracking progress and the impact of our work.
The Ideal Candidate
As a Strategy Programme Manager you will need a strategic and analytic capabilities, able to see the big picture and how we can make change happen in complex systems. You will have excellent skills in managing outcome focussed change progammes, and in working collaboratively across a whole charity to facilitate and ensure the delivery of our strategy programmes. You will have impressive relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
You will have experience of designing effective and efficient planning processes, to ensure strategy is translated into delivery.
