Senior Partnerships Manager (Corporate New Business) - 9 - 12 months Fixed Term Contract
Job Introduction
The role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join DUK Philanthropy and Partnerships team. One in 15 of us is now living with diabetes. Together, we have the opportunity to change this for the next generation. You will lead on identifying, cultivating and securing new income generation opportunities with corporate partners across strategic, commercial and charity of the year style collaborations, continuing to build on successes achieved with partners such as Tesco, Abbott and Novo. You will be responsible for building a pipeline of prospective partners and rolling out a commercially driven, donor centric acquisition strategy for corporate new business. Confident at working with and managing senior stakeholders, you will broker sector-leading partnerships that raise awareness of diabetes and enhance the health and wellbeing of millions of people across the UK. You will also be responsible for motivating a small team and actively engaging with the wider philanthropy and partnerships team, other directorates and external audiences to maximise opportunities for collaboration and growth.
The ideal candidate:
To be an excellent Senior Partnerships Manager you will need
- Substantial and demonstrable experience of securing and maximising new high value partnerships (6 & 7 figure in value) within large and complex organisations.
- Strong corporate fundraising and/ or corporate experience in a commercial setting (preferably in sales/marketing) adept at problem solving and identifying creative solutions
- Line management experience and an ability to develop constructive relationships cross organisationally to develop new and exciting funding propositions
- Experience of supporting and delivering high quality communications, presentations and creative pitches to influence and persuade a variety of internal and external stakeholder audiences
- Excellent negotiation, compliance, contracting, and influencing skills with a proven ability to build and nurture a robust pipeline for new business opportunities
