Senior Partnership Communications Manager (12 month fixed-term contract)
Job Introduction
At Diabetes UK, we know we can’t tackle the diabetes crisis alone. It’s only by working with others that we’ll achieve our vision of a world where diabetes can do no harm.
At the heart of this approach is the power of partnership. Whether that’s with healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, fundraisers, or the likeminded corporate partners who share our passion and our vision.
We’re incredibly proud of our ambitious corporate partnerships programme and excited about its potential to help us reach and engage more people than ever and achieve our strategic goals faster.
That’s why we’re looking for a brilliant partnerships communications expert to join us on a fixed-term basis (12 month maternity contract) to help us develop our strategic communications approach, and deliver maximum impact and value through our existing partnerships and by helping us build exciting new partnerships.
Interviews: W/C 29 November 2021 (online)
Second stage interviews: W/C 6 December (face to face at Wells Lawrence House, London)

The successful person will work with internal teams and direct with corporate partners at all levels of the organisation to provide consultancy and strategic direction, alongside hands on development and delivery of communications campaigns and key messages.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a marketing and communications expert, with excellent knowledge of audiences, channels and techniques, and considerable experience in delivering successful campaigns. They will be an excellent communicator, with exceptional written skills and the confidence and ability to nurture and build relationships at every level, especially with external stakeholders.
They are likely to have worked in a charity or CSR role previously and to understand the opportunities and benefits that a successful partnership can bring.
