Policy Officer

Job Introduction

We are seeking a Policy Officer to join our Policy, Knowledge and Insight Team.

This post will support the development and co-ordination of policy, knowledge and insight into a wide range of issues that impact people at risk or who have Diabetes , in order to inform and influence others inside and outside Diabetes UK.

Role Responsibility

The Policy Officer will play a role in the development and promotion of the policy agenda across Diabetes UK and will also help influence the wider health policy agenda, through networking, horizon scanning, consultation responses, evidence gathering and promotion of policy positions. 

The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience of working in a policy, information, research or project management role, in a similar organisation – for instance a charity or NHS / care organisation, government agency or professional body. You will be skilled in writing reports, website copy and other policy content for public and professional audiences.

You will have a broad knowledge of health policy issues, excellent organisational skills and ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
