Partnership Manager (Tesco Specialist)
Job Introduction
The Partnership Manager (Tesco Specialist) is responsible for the leading the delivery and development of Diabetes UK’s flagship partnership with the UK’s biggest retailer, Tesco. Working with counterparts at the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK, this sector leading, UK-wide partnership aims to improve the health of the nation using the retailer’s reach and influence.
The Partnership Manager will drive strategic impact, value and income generation for the charity and partner, working closely with key stakeholders - particularly the Health Lead and Senior Partnership Communications Manager – and other internal experts to raise awareness and funds in support of people living with and at risk of diabetes. They will play an active role in driving and supporting best practice across the team and charity and will also contribute to cross-team projects and other tasks as required.

Role Responsibility
This fast-paced role will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver our high-profile partnership with Tesco. Managing a busy workload, the postholder will navigate complex decision making and multiple competing priorities. The role will deliver activity to generate income, drive mutual value, and achieve strategic goals. The role will also project manage large scale activity – including strategic health activity and awareness campaigns – from start to finish, bringing in expertise from across Diabetes UK and the wider partnership.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering major strategic partnerships either within a charity or corporate setting. You will have the ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders. The post holder will have excellent communication skills and be able to navigate a complex partnership with skill and diplomacy. You will have passion, gravitas, and a curiosity for the partnership, building strong relationships internally and externally. You will be able to translate technical information into understandable and impactful communications and use strong project management skills to support the delivery of large-scale communications campaigns.
