Marketing & Communications Planning Executive
Job Introduction
With the number of people living with and at risk of diabetes growing every day, our work has never felt more needed, or relevant. Our marketing and communications teams are central to helping us reach more people than ever to achieve our vision of a world where diabetes can do no harm.
Critical to our impact is a joined-up approach to communications planning across the charity so we’re delivering the right messages to our audiences, at the right time and in the right way to allow us to make the biggest difference, while using our finite resources as a charity well.
At the heart of this coordinated approach is our Marketing & Communications Planning team. Sitting within the Strategic Marketing team, but working with colleagues across the charity, the team helps us manage and organise our plans, schedule and resource projects, and drive greater impact through our external communications. The Marketing & Communications Planning Executive will form a critical part of this team, managing the day-to-day workflow and enquiries, and being the key contact for colleagues across the charity.
Interview Date(s): w/c 26 July 2021
Role Responsibility
Reporting into the Senior Marketing & Communications Planning Manager, this crucial role will help us plan and implement our charity-wide marketing and campaigns calendar. The successful candidate will help us coordinate our plans, work with teams to help them with marketing briefs, manage our Marcomms calendar and deliver relevant internal communications to keep colleagues up to date.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll have some experience in project managing and planning campaigns or programmes of work – ideally in a marketing or communications team, or agency setting - but most importantly you’ll be a confident self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time. You’ll be highly organised and able to bring clarity to our processes and thinking. You’ll be a confident communicator who is able to translate complex information for a range of audiences, and you’ll be adept at building strong and collaborative working relationships. You’ll have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable using multiple digital platforms.
This is a brilliant role for someone with the passion, ideas and skills to help us plan more effectively so we can deliver the greatest possible impact for Diabetes UK and the people we support.
