Interim Finance Lead - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Job Introduction

This is a 12 month fixed term role which takes on varied day to day duties from the Finance Manager and Technical Accountant roles, enabling these postholders to contribute to a customer relationship management (CRM) implementation project which will be ongoing during 2022.

Role Responsibility

The Interim Finance Lead is responsible for ensuring that our systems accurately record up to date financial information from a variety of source systems and processes – and for resolving any issues by effectively collaborating with colleagues. They are responsible for completing and overseeing reconciliations, ensuring data quality, calculating cost of sales and representing the finance team internally and externally on a range of issues. They will also set clear timetables for month end and provide expert advice on issues from contract review to worker status assessments. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would be an accountant with experience of charity sector finance and concepts specific to this area including restricted funds and partial VAT. They will proactively identify and respond to issues as they arise, and will be used to working collaboratively across an organisation to resolve problems and more broadly to ensure that financial constraints and risks are considered and managed in everything we do. They will enjoy working with a range of systems and ensuring that data is carried cleanly and accurately between them, and being part of a supportive and effective finance team.
