Information Systems and Engagement Manager

Job Introduction

At the heart of our upcoming strategy lies the need to drive changes within our IS department to support our transition to a new technology stack that supports our data strategy, and to enhance the way we support new and current information systems. Fundamental to this process will be assisting to define and manage a programme of improvements within the IS department to better support systems used for our fundraising, memberships management, beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporter activities.

Role Responsibility

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced portfolio or programme manager to translate strategy into action, design and deliver this transformational programme of work.  You will develop and manage our Information Systems Portfolio of projects to make best use of a skilled development team project manager, Business Analysts, and contractors, and manage the IS support team to provide timely delivery and support of a wide range of solutions. You will embed new ways of working to deliver best practise and adopt new systems to support the IT Department deliver Gold Standard services to underpin the organisations strategy and support Information Systems customers

The Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced Portfolio/Programme and support services manager, with excellent people management skills, able to mentor a technical team and bring staff with you on a programme of process, systems, and cultural change.

Your excellent stakeholder management skills will be used to develop business relationships, influencing, and supporting DUK’s internal organisation as well as relevant external stakeholders who will benefit from the outputs of the IS function.

You are confident with developing prioritisation processes and dealing with complex dependencies that will ensure the team are focused on the most valuable work that drives DUKs strategic goals.

You have previous experience of developing, implementing, and measuring new ways of working. to bring IT service through staged levels of maturity.

You are confident at using ITIL MSP/ PMO and deliver frameworks for manging the backlog, have Agile and waterfall for project delivery experience and have used continuous improvement for increasing the quality-of-service delivery.
