IT Infrastructure Engineer
Job Introduction
The IT team within Diabetes UK plays a crucial role in supporting our colleagues work on a day-to-day basis. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will ensure that all IT systems are designed using best practices and maintained to higher standards. You will lead on proposing improvements to existing systems as well as proposing new technologies and how they will benefit the charity in terms of efficiency and performance.

Role Responsibility
Working alongside colleagues in the IT Operations team and external service providers you will gain a good understanding of the charity IT infrastructure needs and how to deliver them. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be the main point of escalation for all complex technical support and change requests. The role requires excellent stakeholder management and communications skills. They are expected to keep up to date with all the latest developments in IT.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will have relevant trainings or certifications by major IT vendors like Microsoft combined with experience in similar role managing IT Infrastructures in-house, deploying and supporting technologies like Office365 Email, Teams, OneDrive, Citrix, VMWare, VPN, Wi-Fi, Security, Anti-Virus, Encryption, Intune etc. You will have knowledge of Service Delivery, Change and Project Management.
