Healthcare Professional Engagement Manager

Job Introduction

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland aims to help over 100,000 people living with diabetes manage their condition effectively by providing information, advice and support.  We campaign with people living with diabetes as well as healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care across the Health Service.  We fund pioneering research into care, cure and prevention for all types of diabetes and work to stem the rising tide of this serious and life-changing condition.

Role Responsibility

The Healthcare Professional Engagement Manager will be responsible for promoting improvements in diabetes-related health care delivery. They will develop and maintain meaningful and constructive engagement with healthcare professionals in order to progress improvements in diabetes care in Northern Ireland and will be responsible for supporting the development of and working with the Diabetes Network, its sub groups, volunteers, academics and HCP’s to improve outcomes for people living with diabetes in Northern Ireland.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Proven experience of working in a healthcare environment
  • Proven experience of working within diabetes 
  • Robust knowledge of the Northern Ireland healthcare system
  • A registered health care professional
  • Self-motivated and able to plan and manage their own workload
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends and to travel extensively across Northern Ireland and occasionally to our nations and regions.
