Health System Engagement Manager - Scotland

Job Introduction

We work alongside the diabetes community and health systems to raise awareness, make change happen and help people affected by diabetes live well and access better care.  

This role plays a vital role in helping to improve outcomes for people living with, and at risk of, diabetes and supports people working in diabetes systems unlock their potential.  We’re expanding our Diabetes Scotland team and so it’s an incredibly exciting time to join us.

Role Responsibility

As Health Systems Engagement Manager you will work to improve care with a key focus on reducing variation and inequalities.  You’ll do this through influencing, insight gathering, thought leadership and working in an agile way in a complex system.  You will also work collaboratively to foster innovation; supporting and energising people across the system to work differently to improve diabetes care.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a proven track record of influencing within complex systems.  You will build effective relationships in a compelling way and demonstrate strong personal credibility. You will be a strategic and creative thinker, but also used to rolling your sleeves up and working in partnership with health systems on the ground to improve care.  You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data and be able to convey complex information in a meaningful way to different audiences.  You will have a strong understanding of diabetes, local health structures and the health and social care policy landscape.
