Job Introduction

We are seeking a Head of Services to lead a diverse portfolio of online and face to face services for people with diabetes.

This includes the UK’s leading diabetes professional and academic conference, a range of events and conferences for people with type 1 diabetes, a community and place based programme, and a new digital product called Know Your Risk. This is a new senior role in the operations directorate and is a member of the services leadership team. You will work across the services team, and provide operational leadership to support and develop the team to offer new impactful digital and face to face services.

Role Responsibility

You will be responsible for leading and supporting an experienced and diverse team to evolve and grow our services to improve the lives of people living with diabetes. You will also have responsibility for developing a new range of digital and face to face services too. One of the key parts of the role is to develop our capability in quality assurance, evaluation and impact, as we are passionate about addressing and tackling inequality and ensuring our services make a difference.

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally you will have experience of developing and managing a range of national digital and face to face services in the voluntary sector in a health and care setting. Not only will you be able to evidence your approach to impact and outcome measurement, and how you used this to develop and evolve services, you will also be able to evidence your excellent project management skills too. Comfortable operating strategically and operationally, you will bring new insight and ideas to our digital plans. With a proven record of leading high performing teams and working across an organisation you will share our passion that everyone deserves to live well and longer with diabetes.
