Head of Learning and Engagement

Job Introduction

The Head of Learning and Engagement will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation by driving impactful learning and development strategies that foster organisational growth and resilience. Working at both strategic and operational level, you will lead efforts to support and enable organisational change ensuring that colleagues are empowered to thrive in their role and that we meet our current needs while planning for the future.

Role Responsibility

In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and implementation of organisational development strategies aimed at fostering resilience, driving change, and achieving long terms goals. You will bring thought leadership in learning and development, delivering engaging and impactful L&D initiatives that support coaching, mentoring and leadership capacity building. 

A key focus would be to drive engagement through delivering initiatives and programs that boost colleague engagement and connection, reinforcing our values and fostering a positive workplace culture.

As a member of the leadership team, you will also collaborate closely with the Head of HR and other senior stakeholders to align people strategies organisational objectives. You will oversee the team budget, monitor KPIs, and ensure alignment with our organisational needs and HR initiatives. Your will lead by example leadership, valuing diversity, prioritising inclusion, and driving high performance within your team.
 

The Ideal Candidate

Summary of skills, knowledge, behaviours and experience we’re looking for:- 

  • Proven experience in leading organisational development (OD) initiatives, including change management and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Strategic and operational leader with high emotional intelligence, capable of strategic thinking and delivering courses both in-person and online.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and advanced coaching skills, with the ability to facilitate group learning and support leadership development.
  • Creative, solution focused mindset with a track record of translating business needs into impactful learning intervention
  • In depth knowledge of OD best practices, learning theories, and talent management, including blended learning in hybrid work environments.
  • Resilient, collaborative leader with experience in managing projects, influencing stakeholders and driving high engagement and performance across teams
