Engagement Officer (NDA)
Job Introduction
Diabetes UK is a key partner in the delivery of the National Diabetes Audit (NDA). The NDA is one of the largest clinical audits in the world, collecting data from primary and secondary care to measure the quality of care provided to people with diabetes in England and Wales. The NDA is nationally recognised as a key source of information and insight and is used to inform national policy, campaigns and improvements to care delivery. The Engagement Officer (National Diabetes Audit) will support this work at Diabetes UK, driving increased participation and involvement in the National Diabetes Audits (NDA and ensuring the healthcare system has the data and relationships needed to improve diabetes care. We work with extraordinary people in the NHS and supporting them has never been more important.

Role Responsibility
As the Engagement Officer (NDA) you will support change in diabetes care by ensuring that the audit continues to be the leading source of information and insight for planning and improving diabetes care.
You will be supporting the Engagement Lead to engage professionals, people with diabetes and other senior stakeholders to advise the NDA. You will ensure that the healthcare system has the data, information and expert support it needs. You will help to build on our existing strong networks of healthcare professionals and look for opportunities to establish new relationships to support and enhance the NDA.
You will support the development of relationships with key teams across Diabetes UK, ensuring that the NDA is fully utilised by organisation and contributes to the strategy outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have strong organisational and project management skills, being able to effectively manage your time to deliver a diverse workload. You will work well with partners and colleagues and use your experience to engage others in the work of the NDA. You will have a strong commitment to delivering high quality work and to learning and developing yourself. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships based on trust, respect and honesty.
