Digital & Innovation Adoption Lead - 9 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Job Introduction

The pandemic has completely changed the way that we work, and we want to embed some of these changes/practices while working to enable other areas like hybrid working that are still emerging. Our Modern workforce team is being created to support our people and elevate their skills to better enable us to achieve our outcomes faster and more effectively. We would like to support our colleagues with access to information and learning that will help create a desire to learn more and an environment that encourages data and digital exploration. 

This is an exciting opportunity to grow and learn in the role and to help us achieve these goals by helping to identify learning opportunities, develop learning pathways and curate self-service learning resources for our colleagues, while fostering an entrepreneurial and creative work ethic.

This role contributes to a key strategic goal to harness technology by improving our digital skills as a collaborative effort bridging both IT and Learning and Development teams.

Role Responsibility

  • Develop Tech training & Adoption Strategy,  and identify learning pathways: You will be responsible for developing and delivering a robust adoption and IT skills learning strategy, in combination with our Learning and Culture team. This will include the management and development of learning management Systems a learning management framework that enables the creation and curation of professional self-service learning resources and pathways for colleagues that are automatically delivered based on their job role and preferences ( like personalised tik tok feeds) ; including guides, videos, e-learning modules, presentations, and workshops.
  • Microsoft 365 Adoption Support.  IT have 400 colleagues to support in DUK. You will help us improve our ways of working by developing support for Teams, Yammer, and MS Power Platform. Assisting the L&D and IT teams’ field general ‘how to’ queries and proactively identifying opportunities to improve our use of technology and data within the organisation. You will manage requests and learning needs ensuring they are monitored and resolved within acceptable standards. Your team will create learning resources and provide group training and sometimes one-to-one coaching where necessary.
  • Tech comms: You will proactively act on emerging training needs as well as new features or changes. You will plan and deliver concise, accessible, and at times creative communication and training strategies using the latest tools and formats available to make them relatable to colleagues of a broad range of tech confidence and competence.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will have a good combination of technical and soft skills.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for Technology and innovation and supporting non-technical colleagues on IT best practice.
  • Creative and patient in how you connect with, educate, influence, inspire and encourage colleagues in an accessible and trusted way.
  • Have some experience of technical training including use of power Bi.
