Data Insight Analyst
Job Introduction
At Diabetes UK, we are transforming how we use data to achieve our ambitious goals. With the launch of a new CRM and the creation of a dedicated Data & Insight team, this is an exciting time to join us. Our mission is to embed data-driven decision-making across the organisation, and we need an experienced analyst to help turn complex information into actionable insight, working with teams to constantly improve what they deliver and new ways to meet our customer’s needs.
As a Data Insight Analyst, you will help shape how we engage audiences, optimise customer experience, and deliver with impact against our strategic ambitions. You will work closely with colleagues across the charity, acting as a trusted partner from initial “hypothesis led” briefing through to insight-based actionable recommendations. Your analytical expertise and compelling story-telling will help us maximise both our impact and stickiness with people living with diabetes and their journey to remission; and identify how we increase loyalty of donors to increase income revenue through activities such as increasing share of wallet or how to increase propensity to start donating.
Role description:
In this role, you will apply advanced analytical techniques, including statistical modelling and machine learning, to generate insights that optimises activity, drive growth and inform strategy. You will help make data accessible and easy to interpret, training colleagues to manipulate reports so they can self-serve. You will embed a self-serve culture by also creating performance dashboards, reports, and visualisations Power BI and SQL or FastStats.
You will champion the importance of data governance and quality while promoting customer understanding, engagement and experience. You will strive to automate insights and stay ahead of emerging technologies like AI to deliver faster, smarter insights.
The ideal candidate:
We are looking for someone with experience in a company (financial/fmcg/retail) or charity analysing data to deliver insight which drives impact, engagement, and efficiency. Experience of analysing customer loyalty data or customer journey data would be a distinct advantage. You will be experienced in translating complex (and sometimes disparate) data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
You will have strong technical skills in Power BI, excel, SQL and experience of working with CRM systems - ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365. Experience of FastStats and MS Fabric would be an advantage. Knowledge of predictive modelling, data protection and data governance is essential, along with a collaborative approach and the confidence to challenge assumptions using evidence.
