Content Producer - News

Job Introduction

Content Producer - News is an exciting new role within the busy Content and News Team. The focus of the role is to deliver and coordinate topical news and opinion-led content in a variety of formats, including web content and podcasts. You will be responsible for a calendar of news and views content, regularly reporting on performance and making data-led recommendations for new content. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about content creation to join a friendly team, and an extremely supportive working environment.

Role Responsibility

Topical news and opinion-led content plays an increasingly important role in engaging our audiences. Since the launch of our new website section News & Views in September 2021, the need for content production in this area has seen continued growth, and the role of Content Producer – News will be crucial to overseeing the continued success of this offering. Producing timely and reactive content, in a variety of formats, in response to topical events as well as conceiving new content ideas and stories for publishing on the DUK website.

The Ideal Candidate

• Produce reactive content in response to external events and news. 
• Create and deliver against a calendar of proactive news and views content. Collaborating with teams across Diabetes UK for new stories and commissioning in house content when required.
• Use customer insights and data to improve the reach and engagement of our news and views content.
