Communications Manager - Scotland

Job Introduction

We are seeking a first-class Communications Manager to join our Diabetes Scotland team. This post will lead the strategic development, planning and delivery of communications in Scotland.

Role Responsibility

The Communication Manager will play a key role in helping us reach and engage new audiences, increase our profile and influence and raise awareness and understanding of diabetes and the need for prevention.  The role will also help influence the wider policy agenda and play a key role in mobilising people living with diabetes to get involved in our campaigns and activities as well as ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of everything we do.   

The Ideal Candidate

You will have proven experience of working in a similar Communications Manager role and be able to demonstrate first class strategic thinking, communication and writing skills with a good news sense and the ability to work under pressure, at your own initiative and as part of a team.  You will also be an excellent public speaker, skilled at building relationships and working in partnership and have excellent organisational skills.
