Commercial Senior Services Manager

Job Introduction

This is an exciting, maternity cover, part-time role that will work collaboratively at a strategic level supporting the Assistant Director (Services) and Senior Conference Manager. The post will have responsibility for driving business development opportunities, increasing profile, reach and income/sales; in particular the Diabetes UK Professional Conference  (DUKPC), key regional conferences and speciality conferences.

Role Responsibility

  • To have overall responsibility for Diabetes UK revenue derived from Diabetes UK Professional Conference (DUKPC) sponsors and exhibitors, and to maximise the value for Diabetes UK from all contra and partnership agreements at DUKPC.
  • To support the DUKPC Senior Conference Manager on the strategic development of DUKPC. 
  • To support Diabetes UK in the development of all commercial opportunities around DUKPC, key regional conferences and speciality conferences.
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Commercial sponsorship delivery manager 
  • Track record in sales within a medical environment and the conference industry 
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen
  • Experience of working with pharmaceutical industry and working within the regulatory and compliance environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with stakeholders internally and externally
  • Assessing data and trends to shape on-going development
  • Working with contractors and venues
  • Producing impactful reports to demonstrate the difference we make to people’s lives
